Circular belly breathing, basics
Neccesary: good control over basic drone and very much wanted, good control over circular cheekbreathing.
The belly plays almost always a role in didgeridooplaying, allthough there are also people whom have troubles breathing with the belly.
Here is a soundexample of a circular belly breathing: Recording 28.
Where with circular cheekbreathing, most attention went to the cheeks and how to work with air there, the attention now goes downwards.
Blow your basic drone, feel (in) your belly, notice or try to notice that from there air is being pushed upwards.
Hint: give in your basic drone short airpushes like: hu hu hu. Listen for that also to recording 29.
In recording 28 i do that what i do in recording 29.
But, i did more in recording 28: While i pushed up the air from out of the belly, i for a very short time let arrive some of this air in my cheeks/mouth/jaw aerea, it pushes feelable to my cheeks. At that moment i directly breath in with the nose, automatically the cheeks also do some work then (a bit like when breathing circular with cheeks) but the attention for now stays as much as possible in the belly.
So, you in fact create a kind of belly/cheekbreathing. You play the basic drone, push the air with some power form out of your belly upwards to your mouth/cheek area, those catch the air a bit, directly you breath in and also still making a basicdrone kind of sound which again let's itself hear as a kind of wop-sound.
You'll need to get some feeling with this. (practise)/
