Circular breathing 2

This page explains the circular breathing technique meant for beginner players using basic drone only.
It also includes audiofiles (mp3's).
If mp3's donot open or if you get an empty or wrong page: Then use your rightmousebutton and choose: save target as, save the file to your pc and play it from there.

Needed: being able to play a good basic drone on the didge.
level : difficult..but becomes easy when you master circular breathing 1

Step 1:
Play the drone..
While playing, make sure that you are or become able to play with your cheeks or that you can find some way to fill your mouth/jaw-area with extra air, you should be able to do this and to let it go while playing and so on.
Practise yourself in the being/becoming able to use the cheeks (or the other mentioned area) to create extra sound. This means you'll have to use some cheek musclepower and become aware of what you're doing. This extra sound sound like the basic drone but is slightly different. (All though it doesnot have to be sounding different if you get the feeling).
The using of the cheeks can make an extra sound (a slightly different or even very different one than the basic drone) or be more or less the same (this last thing is worth practising anyway to be able to create continous sounding long drones/sound while (later on) breathing circular).
Recording 13 demonstrates me playing the basic drone while filling my cheeks and while creating sound (i made sure that i created different sounding sounds than the basic drone to let you know where the cheeks are being used) with it. Notice that i am squeezing air out of the cheeks, with that creating the extra-sounds. Note: the extra-sound/cheek-movement is the kind of 'wop-sound'! (Donot mistake and donot go listen to the harmonics which have this kind of wah sound in the recording, it should be easily hearable).
This is difficult.
Why?
You need to learn the following to be able to do above thing too:
You will have to learn to use blowing of air (with that creating normal basic drone), then to while blowing, fill cheeks, then to create sound with cheeks, and then, the most difficult part: Learn to be able to switch back immediately to normal basic drone (normal blowing of air).
It will for sure help if you alrready have understanding of circular breathing, i advice you to study and practise circular_breathing.html first, then to go on with this document.

When you can do recording 13 yourself, go on to:
Recording 14: The inhaling of new air with the nose process. If you manage to use circular breathing 1 as mentioned, it should not be a too difficult lesson anymore. The priciple is the same. So now you add the following: While you are squeezing out air with the cheeks and creating sound with it (recording 13) you now also go inhale some air with the nose, just like documented in circular breathing 1.
This should then result in recording 15, you go on after the inhaling with the normal blowing of air/creating basic drone. And on and on.
